ADDING A PHOTO GALLERY

A photo gallery is a collection of thumbnails and larger pictures.  There are two ways to add a photo gallery:  INSERT | PICTURE | NEW PHOTO GALLERY, or INSERT | WEB COMPONENT | PHOTO GALLERY.  The second gives you several layout options.

Click ADD and identify the image files you want to use in your photo gallery.

If you plan to display your thumbnails in a row, set a thumbnail size so each picture will be the same height.  You will probably want your slides to be around 100 pixels in height.  Forget about the width; just make sure the ratio is constant.  Set this size as your default.  OK.

Adding captions is tricky; you may want to handle this in a table.

The photo gallery also has an edit picture option.

IMPORTANT!  When you upload your files, make sure you upload the system folder created by FrontPage when you add a photo gallery.
